My journey to Peru with Jory was a trip not only beyond my expectations, but beyond my imagination.  While I wanted to visit some of the more well known sights, I was especially interested in the spiritual centers of the land and their significance to the culture.  Our native host and guide served that end and more.  I was equally impressed with Jory's extensive research, travels and knowledge of Peru's cultural and spiritual traditions.  Laced throughout this adventure were scenic wonders, great food, laughter, new friends and a true sense of immersion.  And all I had to do was get myself on the plane in Los Angeles .  After that, all travel accommodations were handled.  Thanks, Jory.  I'd do it again wherever you're going.

Thank you for organizing the trip of a lifetime for us!  As you know I have wanted to experience Mach Picchu for a long time.  Even with all of the pictures that I've seen, I had no idea how incredible this place would be.  As I walked around the corner of the entrance and looked out at the site, I was awestruck.  It was even more amazing than I had imagined! 

Experiencing the ceremonies touched my soul.  The food, friendship and growth were also great.  We felt privileged to open our journey with the shaman.  Their simplicity and joy reminded me of the Dalai Lama, as I felt the same energy in his presence.

Two years ago, I started the Medicine Wheel training with Jory. She has great knowledge of many indigenous teachings that can sometimes be very confusing and hard to understand. I found Jory's training to be clear and concise. She creates a sacred and safe place for healing. Jory led me gently and powerfully to the places I was afraid to go by myself. After the first weekend, I walked out feeling empowered; I was able to use the tools she taught for my own healing and could also work with others seeking healing through the illumination process.

I continued the journey through the four directions, many times wondering how Jory could keep it so simple and yet so powerful. I was able to journey down a road looking at my physical and emotional weaknesses. There was never any judgment. I looked back at my past and many wounds that were crippling. I was able to release them so that they no longer held their bewitching power over me.

 I began to seek instead of merely survive. I began to choose instead of cope. I began to live. Now I choose to be a better person and live my life full of intention and direction of where I want to go and things I want to do. For me, that is to continue learning the sacred ways and taking care of our Mother Earth as our Indigenous Ancestors have taught us. I live my life now saying, "What can I do?"  Jory shows us the sacred way and I am eternally grateful.

When I came to you for Reiki I, I was in disarray. You healed me of my heartaches, as you taught me how to say good-bye without running away. You taught me lessons about closure following a 10 year intimate relationship. Then, through your Shamanic Healing, that was very intense, you once again, guided me  through my fears and sadness...releasing the connection with a love from my past life, that had re-surfaced in this life. I entered a place foreign to me, but I trusted you. When I came to you, I had been feeding my emotions, literally, through my food addictions. With the Initiation of Reiki I, I no longer turn to food for comfort. After years of not exercising, I am once again taking care of my body, and making healthier food choices. And, now, the hardest work is still ahead, keeping my ego in check, not allowing my intellect to interfere with the real voice, the one that speaks from the heart.  So, I will continue as your student, as I know there is more healing yet to come and more to learn.  These are only a few of the gifts, you, Jory Adamson, Healer, have done for me. My heart is full of gratitude.
